About Dorota Haber-Lehigh:

In her art, Dorota she explores the idea of interconnectedness and fragility of our ecosystems, ecological diversity and species codependence. Dorota also enjoys exploring painting landscapes using pen and ink and watercolor.

Dorota Haber-Lehigh exhibits and teaches drawing regionally, including online teaching. She has participated in many shows at Fairweather Gallery and recently was named a resident artist at the gallery with a dedicated artist page on the gallery website.

She has been an artist in residency at Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island. Her recent commissions have included an installation of 25 illustrations of the Pacific Northwest at the Columbia Memorial Hospital in Seaside, Oregon, and creating a Mahonia Lifecycle Illustration for a Year End Fundraiser for Bloedel Reserve in Washington.

Born in Poland, Dorota’s love for nature began when as a child she accompanied her grandparents on mushroom hunting forays, spent hours in her parents and grandparents gardens, hiked summers in Tatra mountains and foraged for wild herbs and fruit.

Dorota Haber-Leligh, an artist and educator, frequently lectures at the Fairweather Gallery opening receptions during the Seaside First Saturday Art Walks. She has self-published five coloring books, including a coloring book for Seaside Mill Pond Natural History Park in 2020, which features illustrations of flora and fauna found in Seaside.

Dorota Haber- Lehigh is a highly recognized botanical artist Interested in Ethnobotany, and native plants. She lives on Oregon Coast.

She sketches daily, using a sepia Pitt pen, watercolors, on mixed media Strathmore toned tan artist paper.

Here is a recent January native plant series completed. In addition, Dorota has created a collection of blank greeting cards of flora and fauna drawings, available at the gallery.
