Those that live for the ARTS, support the ARTS.

A terrific thank you from Don Frank.
High fives to Scott Sommers and Drew Herzig for the supporting the Arts Council of Clatsop County.

We put the ARTS first!

Thanks again and kudos to you both for spearheading the ACCC ad hoc
committee. This was probably the easy part, but the future holds exciting
possibilities for sure.

I have attached a couple of shots from our last meeting for your records.
I didn’t want to send it to the whole list, especially since most of them
are not in the photo. Nonetheless, feel free to share with the team as
you see fit and if there is a publication of the shot in one of the local
rags, please use a photo credit of: donfrankphotography.com.

Best,

Don

Top #1 Moment(s) of 2013: Neal, with great humility, appeared in all ten Art Walks sharing knowledge and stories about the habitats found in our “OWN BACK YARDS”.

THE BACK STORY:

Neal Maine taught biology at Seaside High School for thirty years, and was a founding member of the North Coast Land Conservancy, as well as its Executive Director for ten years.
Neal is now working with his grandson Michael Wing. Together they established PacificLight Images, a partnership that is dedicated to raising public awareness about our region’s natural resources through nature photography.

kirstenThe art of music with Kristin Qian, the violinist. performing. This was a true mid-summer magical moment in the celebration of our 70th Art Walk! Kristin performs with the Oregon Coast Chamber Music Society and was the concertmaster of the American High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. And, too, this was an encore appearance, as Kristin performed in 2011 at Fairweather’s as an emerging artist.
