Seaside Sunset by Bev Drew Kindley original on canvas.

“A special moment on a Seaside evening when we can feel the atmosphere and the high-lighted textures at sunset.”–Bev

Seaside First Saturday Art Walk
August 6th, 5-7pm

Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway
Opening reception for MOMENTS LIKE THIS, an exhibition of selected art created by artists mesmerized by the sparkling ocean and fiery sunsets, “in light so soft and tender, despite its brilliance” as artist Henri Matisse said.

Artists appearing Bev Drew Kindley and Paul Brent, among others.

On certain days, and in a favorite spot, artist Bev Drew Kindley can be seen painting outside-usually about mid-afternoon, in the en plein air style, near the ocean. The artist, a native Oregonian, paints to understand the unique moments of light and weather. All of her recent work begins with the experience of the real location, later finished in the studio.

The artist, with dual degrees in Art and Philosophy, strives to encourage appreciation and protection of our heritage and world through her art.

Paul Brent is an artist whose paintings of coastal life and nature have gained widespread recognition both nationally and internationally.

He especially enjoys painting local scenes and beach scapes that he views near his two home studios in Panama City, Florida and Seaside, Oregon.
