I am returning to sandpipers in this oil painting, titled Sunset Sandpipers. I wanted to capture a lighter and softer sunset scene with one of our favorite shorebirds. The painting portrays their delicate grace as they frolic along the shoreline. The golden hues of the sunset mirror off their feathers. This work not only highlights their beauty but also evokes a sense of tranquility and connection to nature.” Paul Brent

Opening reception on October 4th, 5-7 pm for the MIND Over Matter exhibition, featuring batik artist Kristie Mooney and watercolor artist Paul Brent. Both Oregon artists escape the winter months through travel, seeking new landscapes and experiences that fuel their creativity. Mooney immerses herself in the rich cultures of Europe. Each city offers a unique palette of colors and textures. She translates these into her vibrant batik works.
These pieces not only capture the profound essence of their mindfulness but also reflect the intricate connection between nature and the human experience—enhanced by live music provided by the Seaside singer and acoustic guitarist Jason Lambert, who will contribute a soothing backdrop for the evening Paul Brent will offer a Painting LIVE Seaside (TM) episode as part of the event, showcasing his artistic process through a captivating painting demonstration. The reception is free and open to the public, encouraging art enthusiasts and curious minds alike to engage with these talented artists and their inspiring creations
